Program Executive Office Enterprise (PEO Enterprise), formerly known as Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS), is a critical provider, modernizing, managing and enhancing the Army’s enterprise business systems.

Our diverse portfolio of 37 acquisition programs supports and fields Army and Department of Defense logistics, medical, finance, personnel, training and procurement systems for every domain, branch, unit and Soldier in the Army. From logisticians managing the Army’s depots, to Soldiers applying for tuition assistance to commanders making important strategic and operational decisions, PEO Enterprise programs support Soldiers and Department of the Army civilians, every day around the world.

PEO Enterprise has five project management offices — Army Data and Analytics Platforms, Defense Integrated Business Systems, Enterprise Business Systems – Convergence, Integrated Personnel and Pay System – Army, and Enterprise Services. 

PEO Enterprise aligns the Army's enterprise IT services, data and business mission systems with DOD digital transformation strategies and initiatives that enable data, modernize for readiness and converge technology delivery for the Army. Our leaders, directors, project management offices and their teams deliver capability via DevSecOps, applying an Agile framework to rapidly deliver capability in an iterative fashion. 

Our Challenge

In today’s contested environment, you can’t achieve readiness and win wars without accurate, real-time data flowing seamlessly among modern enterprise business systems and providing ease of access and use for end users.

PEO Enterprise is the backbone of the Army, moving vehicles; ensuring Soldier pay, training and financial assistance for education; helping leaders make informed decisions; and providing Soldiers and civilians with critical systems that logistically track weapons, facilitate contract writing and ensure the Army’s manning needs are met. We are a critical player in the Army’s people, readiness and modernization strategy frameworks, directly linked to who we are, how we fight and win, and how we develop leaders and manage talent. 

Looking Ahead

In support of the Secretary of the Army’s six objectives and the Army’s four messaging priorities, PEO Enterprise focuses on ensuring the Army becomes more data-centric, maintains and builds a positive command climate, and adapts the way we recruit and retain talent, specifically with our Civilian workforce. In conjunction with the direction to focus energy into actions and messaging in the Army’s four priorities, PEO Enterprise will focus on continuous transformation — the iterative and continuous method of deploying and integrating new technology faster and more cost effectively at the operational level.

2023 was the year of Agile transformation and progress across the portfolio; 2024 is the year of maturing our Agile delivery and focusing on simplicity and excellence. We’re putting users — our Soldiers and Civilians — first, modernizing our programs while incorporating user feedback from the start, developing simpler, more intuitive software, and delivering new capabilities in consistent increments at a faster pace. While we have made wide-sweeping changes across all programs and in the way we do business, this year we will build on that progress and refine our focus to go deep — to achieve new efficiencies, reduce complexities and simplify. This means doing fewer things and doing them better, and executing more at greater speed, focusing on Every Soldier. Every Day.

We’re also continuing our own internal transformation. In October 2024, as part of our continued digital transformation, we adopted a new name and more modern brand to represent our culture of excellence and simplicity. With an enterprise focus, we maintain an open posture to take on new responsibilities aligned with Army funding priorities and bring programs that have served their purpose to an end.
