Katie Young

Katie Young serves as a contracting officer for Army Contracting Command – Rock Island (ACC-RI). As part of her responsibilities, she supports the Enterprise Business Systems – Convergence program under Project Manager Army Data and Analytics Platforms within Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems. Young also supports other programs, to include the Unified Enterprise Resource Planning Capability Support Services for the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command Software Engineering Center.

Young previously served as a contracting officer in ACC-RI’s Munitions and Industrial Base Directorate, where she supported the Joint Program Executive Office Armaments and Ammunition and the Joint Munitions Command. She began her federal career in 2009 as a financial analyst at the Tank Automotive and Armaments Command. 

Young has earned a Department of the Army Commander’s Award for Civilian Service (2019) and a Department of the Army Civilian Service Achievement Medal (2020) for her professional excellence. 

She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from Saint Ambrose University. She also holds a Level III Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification in contracting.
