On Aug. 29, LTG Paul Ostrowski, Principal Military Deputy to the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology) and Director of the Army Acquisition Corps, visited Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, and spent some time with the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and the LMP Sustainment Division (LMPSD) teams. LTG Ostrowski thanked the entire team for their hard work to support Army readiness and deliver materiel and equipment to Soldiers when and where they need it.

During his visit, LTG Ostrowski presented command coins to LMP’s Ms. Sharon Ahearn for her exceptional work leading LMP’s cybersecurity and information assurance efforts, and LMPSD’s Mr. Tse-Hun Lye for his work identifying, resolving and streamlining application security processes. LTG Ostrowski also hosted a town hall stressing the important role the entire Picatinny team plays in supporting Soldiers around the world, no matter how far the team may be from the frontline. He discussed the work he and his team are doing to help programs design, develop and deliver capabilities faster and more efficiently, including identifying ways to streamline acquisition documentation and reviewing processes and procedures to find efficiencies.

LTG Ostrowski’s visit was both empowering and exciting to the LMP and LMPSD teams. His leadership, guidance and support have been evident throughout the LMP’s milestone decisions and as the program continues its path forward to continue to support both the Army Materiel Command and ASA(ALT) missions.
