ArmyIgnitED achieved another key milestone in July with the release of functionality for Army civilians. With the latest capability release, the Army’s voluntary education and training portal is now available to all user groups — Soldiers, cadets and civilians.

Army Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems’ adoption of an Agile approach to project management and software development is paying off for users of the Army’s tuition assistance portal for Soldiers and civilians.

PEO EIS’ Defense Integrated Business Systems (DIBS) Project Management Office held an assumption of charter ceremony Feb. 27 for the portfolio’s newest product office, Foreign Military Sales – Army Case Execution System (FMS-ACES).

On June 14 — the day the Army celebrated its 247th birthday — PEO EIS held a change of charter ceremony for its Defense Integrated Business Systems (DIBS) project management office (PMO).

By this summer, the first Army civilian to participate in PEO EIS’s Enhanced Command Preparation (ECP) program —organized in collaboration with the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA(ALT)) —will graduate and assume command of a project management office (PMO) at EIS.

PEO EIS’s General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) product office — part of the Defense Integrated Business Systems (DIBS) portfolio — has wrapped up the transition of sustainment activities for its financial management enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to the Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Software Engineering Center (SEC) Army Shared Services Center (SSC) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.
