Mr. Douglas Wiltsie Transitioning from PEO EIS
November 10, 2015 – Mr. Douglas K. Wiltsie will be transitioning from his assignment as the Program Executive Officer Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) to become the Director of System of Systems Engineering & Integration for the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics & Technology) on Dec. 1, 2015. Deputy PEO Ms. Terry Watson will serve as Acting PEO until a successor is named.
Mr. Wiltsie took command of PEO EIS in October 2011 and has been responsible for the development, acquisition, fielding and sustainment of the Army’s enterprise information systems, overseeing an annual budget of nearly $2 billion. During his four-year tenure, PEO EIS has helped transform the Army enterprise through implementation of innovative acquisition and material readiness solutions that enable information dominance. These efforts include delivering critical infrastructure and enterprise information capabilities, such as modernizing Army network and strategic communication systems, developing complex business and integrated personnel management systems, and deploying global logistics systems and enterprise services that support every Soldier, every day, everywhere.
In announcing his departure, Mr. Wiltsie expressed his gratitude to a globally dispersed workforce comprised of more than 1,500 Army military, civilians and contractors.
“I will miss working with you most of all – EIS has a dedicated, expert team unrivaled by any other PEO. Thanks for all you do and keep up the outstanding work – it’s because of you that we are able to connect the global Army.”
Mr. Wiltsie has also served as the Deputy Program Executive Officer for Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, and Sensors; the Assistant Deputy for Acquisition and Systems Management in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics & Technology); and as the Deputy Project Manager, Objective Force and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Future Combat System.
