Following a busy month of charter ceremonies, we now have a brief hiatus until the end of August and early fall, when a few more organizational and leadership changes take place at PEO EIS.

July promises to be another transformational month at PEO EIS as our Army Training Information System (ATIS) product office migrates from our Defense Integrated Business Systems (DIBS) portfolio to our Army Data and Analytics Platforms (ARDAP) portfolio, and as our change of charter season continues apace!

PEO EIS staff gathered virtually June 15 to bid farewell to Deputy Program Executive Officer (DPEO) Brendan Burke. Burke was recognized for his many years of Army civilian service — the bulk of which was spent at PEO EIS — as he departs government service to transition to a career in the private sector.

Col. Mark Taylor, project manager for PEO EIS's Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO), recently hosted a virtual change of charter ceremony for Applied Cyber Technologies (ACT), during which Lt. Col. Peter Amara passed the reins of responsibility to Arthur Edgeson.

Just days after his one-year anniversary at the helm of PEO EIS, Program Executive Officer Ross Guckert provided an organizational update May 26 to more than 200 attendees of AFCEA Belvoir’s May 2021 virtual luncheon.

Summer is always an “eventful” time at PEO EIS — full of charter ceremonies, retirement ceremonies and other events.

As executive officer (XO) for PEO EIS Program Executive Officer Ross Guckert, Maj. Torano Harris coordinates and tracks the PEO’s priorities and plans. An XO’s job is tough and can be stressful, but Maj. Harris performs it with an upbeat attitude.
