2020 YEAR IN REVIEW

​​​​​​​Last month, PEO EIS participated in the annual AFCEA Belvoir Industry Days (ABID), Nov. 17-19. The three-day event was held virtually for the first time, featuring briefs from many Army and DOD leaders, and 34 speakers from PEO EIS supporting 14 sessions.

JT Craft, product lead for the Global Force Information Management (GFIM) program, manages an effort that will automate the Army’s core deploy-to-redeploy and retrograde (D2RR) business processes.

It may have been delayed by seven months and confined to an online format due to COVID-19, but AFCEA Belvoir Industry Days 2020, held Nov. 17-19, was a “virtual success” for PEO EIS with a total of 14 sessions, 34 speakers and nearly 1,000 attendees.

Rob Schadey, our Business Mission Area director, is a cybersecurity and data-analytics expert who leads PEO EIS’s cloud-modernization initiatives. He has extensive experience migrating applications to the cloud, managing cybersecurity operations and developing Army cloud policies. He answered 14 questions about his career and life.

Fresh off its participation in the AUSA Annual Meeting & Exhibition, PEO EIS is busily preparing for AFCEA Belvoir Industry Days, a virtual event from November 17-19 that brings together key members of the government with industry organizations from all over the United States.

AUSA: This was a banner year for PEO EIS participation in the annual Association of the United States Army (AUSA) annual conference. Every October, AUSA provides an opportunity to meet with worldwide industry partners and Army leadership -- and, most importantly, our customers -- for the most up-to-date technology, guidance and planning.

PEO EIS racked up an eye-popping three wins in the 2020 Government Innovation Awards, presented by FCW, GCN, Washington Technology and Defense Systems.

The “Warriors Corner”— traditionally an on-site, exhibit-based venue for presentations on important discussion topics at the Association for the U.S. Army’s (AUSA) annual conference — may have been virtual this year, but that didn’t stop PEO EIS representatives from discussing and demoing innovative technologies, and responding to numerous questions from online attendees.
