The Digital Market program management office is committed to advancing digital capabilities by pursuing modern, innovative acquisitions that streamline processes, eliminate redundancies, and deliver cutting-edge IT products and services. By staying ahead of emerging trends and aligning our solutions with customer missions, we empower our nation’s military, the DOD, and federal agencies to achieve their objectives with greater efficiency, agility, and impact through its preferred contract vehicles.

Originally chartered in 1996, the Computer Hardware Enterprise Software & Solutions (CHESS) organization is currently the Army’s mandatory source for COTS IT hardware, software and services acquisitions. However, in April 2025, Digital Market was born from a need to revolutionize the acquisition process for all digital procurements. Once operational, the Digital Market digital experience, also known as the Digital Marketplace, will leverage automated workflows, artificial intelligence and new catalogue search and order functionality through a modern acquisition platform to procure the latest digital needs for the modern warfighter. This program is managed by Enterprise Services.
