U.S. Army Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems and the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Procurement are continuing to enhance the modernized Army Contract Writing System (ACWS) with the June 24 rollout of a new integration capability with the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), the Army’s web-based financial management system.

Ryan Cali is the new chief enterprise architect in the Office of the Chief Information Officer at PEO EIS.

As always, late spring and summer are busy times of transition here at PEO EIS and throughout the Army, and we mark a few changes of note in the months ahead:

“I've been very lucky to work for great Army leaders,” said Judith Avery, deputy product lead for Accessions Information Environment (AIE) and Reserve Component Automation System (RCAS)/Force Management System (FMS), two programs that are part of the Integrated Personnel and Pay System — Army (IPPS-A) portfolio.

In a strategic move aimed at enhancing Army demand planning and forecasting capabilities, in March 2024, the Logistics Modernization Program successfully implemented Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Demand Planning, replacing the existing Supply Chain Management Demand Planning system.

Born in Fort Knox, Kentucky, Maj. Stuart Anderson grew up in an Army family committed to serving others. Anderson, the Department of the Army Systems Coordinator (DASC) for the Integrated Personnel and Pay System — Army (IPPS-A) Increment II and Operational Medicine and Information System – Army (OMIS-A) programs, enjoys helping people solve problems. “As a former assistant program manager, I understand the pressure to get stuff done and make progress,” Anderson said. “I try to make myself a Swiss Army knife by being as useful to leaders as possible.”

Integrated Personnel and Pay System — Army (IPPS-A) is leveraging industry’s Agile best practices to deliver new capabilities faster and in smaller increments, according to a panel of IPPS-A leaders who hosted a breakout session May 14 at AFCEA Belvoir Industry Days.

Daryl Lewis is the deputy project manager (DPM) for Defense Integrated Business Systems (DIBS) at PEO EIS — a role he assumed in August 2022 after being in the Department of the Navy for most of his career.
