PEO EIS’s Business Mission Area (BMA) — which encompasses the Army’s data, finance and accounting, human capital and logistics programs — recently kicked off a series of quarterly summit meetings aimed at keeping Army stakeholders informed and coordinated on high-profile Army modernization and cloud operations initiatives.

Happy New Year! Wishing everyone a healthy, meaningful and rewarding 2022. As in past years, I’d like to reflect on some of our achievements from 2021 and take a look at what’s ahead this year for PEO EIS.

Erin Rusnak is an acquisition analyst within the Acquisition & Systems Management/Strategic Initiatives Group at PEO EIS.

A combat veteran, Lawrence Silas has more than 27 years of Army service, including several leadership roles in the acquisition and logistics (quartermaster) career fields. After retiring from the Army as a colonel in 2012, he worked in industry supporting secure communications programs for the federal government. Silas joined the civil service in 2013 and currently serves as the director of acquisition logistics and property management for PEO EIS headquarters. We asked Silas, today’s #PEOEISTeammateTuesday, eight questions about his career and life.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Rock Island (ACC-RI), Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois, in accordance with the Army Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) office under Army Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS), awarded a contract extension for Information Technology Enterprise Solutions – 3 Hardware (ITES-3H) on Nov. 23, 2021.

Last month, leaders and teammates from across our portfolio participated in the annual AFCEA Belvoir Industry Days (ABID) event at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.

One of Congress’s priorities is to ensure that the U.S. military is able to maintain accountability of its property: specifically, its arms, ammunition and explosives (AA&E).

Jennifer Potts and Nancy Richardson — both deputy project managers at PEO EIS — have educational backgrounds in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, but their personal journeys and career paths have put them on different trajectories to success.
