Following AFCEA TechNet in August, our attendance at “A”-list events continues this month with AUSA 2021 — the Association of the United States Army’s annual meeting and exposition, taking place Oct. 11-13 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

On Aug. 31, PEO EIS's Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) completed its implementation of the Additive Manufacturing Digital Thread (AM DT) solution for the Army. 

The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Rock Island (ACC-RI), Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois — in accordance with the Army Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) product office within the Army Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems — has issued a request for proposal (RFP) for contractors to support the Information Technology Enterprise Software and Solutions – 4 Hardware (ITES-4H) contract vehicle.

Regina Bumper is a human resource analyst for PEO EIS. Originally from North Carolina, she joined the military to further her education and has worked in several military personnel roles during her time in the Army.

PEO EIS’s Army Human Resource Systems (AHRS) — which provides installation and field commanders worldwide with essential, state-of-the-art, cost-effective and standardized knowledge-based automation tools — held a change of charter ceremony Aug. 27 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, welcoming Michael Payne as the new product director.

Before delving into recent and upcoming PEO EIS developments, I’d like to share our sympathies with the families and friends of those who lost their lives in the recent terrorist attacks in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Army Knowledge Online (AKO) may have stopped being accessible to users at the end of June, but PEO EIS’s Enterprise Content Collaboration and Messaging (EC2M) product office — part of EIS’s Enterprise Services portfolio — officially brought the program to a close on July 26.

PEO EIS’s Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-Army) program successfully obtained limited deployment (LD) authority to proceed (ATP) for Increment (INC) 2, Wave 1, Enterprise Aviation (EAVN) from Program Executive Officer Ross Guckert on June 9.
